PADI EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONSE
The PADI Emergency First Response Course (EFR) is a first aid certification which is a prerequisite for anyone wishing to take the PADI Rescue Course. The PADI EFR Course gives a very good insight on how to deal with everyday injuries and is open to both divers and non-divers.
The one day course also includes CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) training. You are taught the basics in emergency care and CPR by one of Nesima’s qualified instructors. Additionally you will learn how to carry out primary and secondary assessment, become familiar with the ABC’s (airways, breathing and circulation) and how to maintain them by monitoring and, if necessary, administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation. You will gain an insight into emergency first response and treatment of a wide range of acute injuries including bleeding, shock management, stabilisation of fractures and an introduction to many illnesses and conditions.
